Outdoor Weatherproof Locker

All-Weather Storage for Exterior Installations

The Outdoor Weatherproof Locker is engineered for permanent installation in unprotected exterior environments. Unlike indoor lockers that may be placed under a canopy for occasional outdoor use, these units are designed to withstand direct rain, snow, freezing temperatures, summer heat, UV radiation, and wind-driven debris as primary operating conditions — not exceptions.

The construction starts with galvanized steel panels — steel that has been hot-dip coated in zinc to create a sacrificial barrier against corrosion. Over this galvanized substrate, a UV-stabilized outdoor-grade powder coat provides color and additional surface protection. The combination of galvanized steel and UV-resistant coating creates a corrosion defense system that maintains structural and aesthetic integrity through years of unprotected outdoor exposure.

Weatherproofing extends beyond the panel material to every joint, seam, and opening in the locker assembly. Door frames incorporate continuous neoprene weather seals that prevent water intrusion during rain and snow events. Ventilation is provided through downward-facing louvers that allow airflow while blocking direct water entry. The top panel overhangs the door face to create a drip edge that directs water away from the door seal. Even the lock interface is weather-protected with a hinged cover that prevents water and debris from entering the latch mechanism.

Ideal For

Trusted by facilities across every sector

Public Parks & Recreation

Public Parks & Recreation

Outdoor pool areas, beach access points, and park pavilions need locker storage where no covered structure exists. Weatherproof lockers provide secure storage directly at activity locations without requiring a building.

Ski Resorts & Mountain Facilities

Ski Resorts & Mountain Facilities

Base-area lockers at ski resorts endure extreme cold, heavy snowfall, and freeze-thaw cycles. Our galvanized construction and cold-rated neoprene seals maintain full operation through mountain winter conditions.

Construction Sites

Construction Sites

Workers on construction sites need secure storage for personal items and tools in environments with no permanent structures. Outdoor lockers provide this security through all seasons and weather conditions.

Sports Complexes & Stadiums

Sports Complexes & Stadiums

Exterior locker installations at outdoor stadiums and sports complexes allow spectators and athletes to secure belongings during events in facilities that are primarily or entirely outdoors.

Outdoor Lockers: Engineered to Withstand the Elements

Installing lockers outdoors introduces environmental stresses that indoor lockers are not designed to handle. Rain drives water into every unsealed joint. Snow and ice create freeze-thaw cycles that exploit any structural weakness. UV radiation degrades organic coatings. Wind loads stress fasteners and anchoring systems. Temperature extremes cause thermal expansion and contraction that can compromise sealed joints. Outdoor weatherproof lockers address each of these challenges through materials and construction methods selected specifically for unprotected exterior deployment.

Galvanized Steel: The Foundation of Outdoor Corrosion Resistance

Hot-dip galvanizing coats steel panels in a zinc layer that provides both barrier and sacrificial corrosion protection. The zinc physically blocks moisture from reaching the steel substrate, and where the zinc is scratched or abraded, it corrodes preferentially — sacrificing itself to protect the underlying steel. This dual protection mechanism is why galvanized steel structures maintain integrity for decades in outdoor environments, and why we specify galvanized steel rather than standard cold-rolled steel for all outdoor locker products.

Weather Sealing Beyond the Obvious

Door seals are the most visible weatherproofing element, but effective outdoor protection requires attention to every potential water entry point. Our outdoor lockers feature sealed ventilation louvers angled to block rain while allowing airflow, welded panel joints that eliminate the capillary gaps where water travels into seamed construction, a top panel overhang that creates a drip edge above the door, and a weather cover over the lock interface. These details — individually minor — collectively create a locker that keeps contents dry through sustained heavy rain and wind-driven precipitation.

Durable Lockers for Extreme Temperature Ranges

Outdoor lockers must function across temperature ranges that would cause dimensional failures in products designed for climate-controlled interiors. Our outdoor units are tested to operate from -40°F to 140°F — a range that encompasses Alaska winters through Arizona summers. The neoprene weather seals maintain flexibility across this range (unlike rubber compounds that become brittle in extreme cold), and the fastener specifications account for differential thermal expansion between dissimilar materials.

Anchoring and Wind Resistance

Outdoor lockers face wind loads that indoor installations never encounter. A 72-inch locker presents approximately 12 square feet of wind surface area, generating significant lateral force in high winds. Our outdoor units include concrete anchor bolt systems designed for the seismic and wind load requirements of permanent exterior installations, with anchor specifications that meet or exceed local building code requirements for permanently installed outdoor equipment.
